Volunteering Sessions

".. my initial reason for volunteering was mainly because of my love for animals and I wanted to make use of my passion to give back to society...I saw how much positive impact the horses had on the beneficiaries as well as on the volunteers and staff. Team EQUAL is also extremely inclusive which contributes to the warmth and homeliness...I will certainly recommend anyone who wishes to make an impact to the society to volunteer at EQUAL"

"...I have always loved learning on the job with some independence but could never have done so without the safety net of care and assistance that Team EQUAL offers so freely..."

“I volunteer at EQUAL mainly in support of EQUAL’s unique cause to offer animal based learnings to its beneficiaries, which I totally believe in. However, I volunteer specifically at the stables as I feel the horses themselves, being rescued animals, need care and attention. I also get a few hours each time to exercise while clearing out my mind of the stresses at work. Thus, it is a WIN-WIN-WIN situation.
I have learned useful skills that I never thought possible in my lifetime understanding horses and how to lead, to bathe and groom them. I’ve also learnt to respect and appreciate horses as they are very sensitive and special creatures, and the amount of work needed to keep them happy and healthy.
I would certainly recommend EQUAL to would be volunteers. In fact I have been advocating EQUAL within my company and already sent a group of employees for volunteer training.”

"After sitting in front of the computer and staring at the inanimate glowing screen 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, it is welcome relief to spend Saturday mornings at EQUAL doing stable work and horse care, where I have the opportunity to work with my hands and connect with the horses. Knowing that I am playing a small part to contribute to their welfare is also immensely satisfying, especially since I feel like I am indirectly playing a part in enabling them to continue helping EQUAL's beneficiaries in the various programmes. I would encourage anyone who wants to get active and make a difference to society to sign up as an EQUAL volunteer!"

"...Without a doubt, I would wholeheartedly recommend EQUAL to anyone who wants to make a genuine difference. The organisation's dedication to both animal care and enhancing the lives of the elderly is commendable, volunteering at EQUAL not only allows you to contribute to important causes, but also develops your personal life's skills. EQUAL provides a lasting platform whether you are passionate about horses, the elderly or both... the impact is long-lasting
