Family Programme

The EQUAL Family Programme uses Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) to develop social-emotional skills in persons with special needs and their caregivers, through working with our majestic and gentle equine partners.

Spend your time with our horses as a family at our site at Jalan Mashhor, surrounded by lush greenery and nature.

Through the sessions, you can expect to strengthen family bonds and improve social-emotional skills through fun and enriching activities with horses, such as showering a horse and horse riding.

“Through the 5 sessions, Alfie learnt how to groom, take care of and ride a horse. Horses are very sensitive animals and Alfie learnt how to observe horse behaviour to know whether the horse is angry or delighted. WEDNESDAYS WITH HORSES

Read up on our past offsite to Nee Soon where we spent each Wednesday morning meaningfully with our participants in the lovely neighbourhood with our horses!

In the comfort of their neighbourhood, our participants had fun and meaningful activities with the horses such as leading the horse, grooming the horse, learning more about the horse’s behaviours, and developing skills such as empathy and communication.
